I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to say sorry because the item you lent me got damaged while it was with me.

Last week, when I was using it, it accidentally fell on the floor. I tried to catch it, but I was too slow, and it hit the ground very hard. After that, I saw a big crack on it. I did not expect this to happen, and I feel really bad about it.

I want to fix the problem. I can take it to a repair shop and pay for the repair. If the item cannot be repaired, I can buy a new one for you. Please tell me which option you prefer.

Again, I am very sorry for the damage. I hope we are still okay.
