Dear Aliya,

I hope this letter finds you in high spirits. I am writing to inform you about a sad incident that happened last night, which caused a significant damage to the wrist watch I borrowed from you for my convocation. I know its an expensive article of a reputable brand.

Last night, while returning from the after-party of my convocation, I met a road accident. I was walking on the footpath, all of the sudden a car lost its control and climbed the footpath. I fell on my side, which smashed the glass of watch. I am really worried about it.

I am trying to contact my insurance company, they will take up this matter and will compensate for my loss within a week, as per their policy. As soon as I will get my insurance money, I will send watch for repair to maintainance department of its company.

I know you will be more concerned about me rather than the watch. I am perfectly fine, just having discomfort in my arm which will settle in a few days.
