Dear Mercy,

I was thrilled to receive your message as I haven’t heard from you in a very long time. It is good to know that you are fine and doing well. In your letter, you were asking about deciding between going to college or getting a job. Personally, I’d advise you to get a job.

Pursuing higher education at college is a great idea because of the professional certificate involved. However, from your message, you explained how you have been struggling financially which is why I believe you might not enjoy going to college. School isn’t affordable and it is usually stressful. In addition, it will get frustrating and embarrassing when bills are not paid and one has to drop-out of school.

Employment will be a better option. This is due to the fact that you will be getting paid and also gain experience. Additionally, acquiring a steady income fosters a greater sense of autonomy and financial comfort, enabling you to procure goods and services that contribute to an improved standard of living.

Furthermore, I would recommend that you submit applications to organizations advertising vacancies for positions such as secretary, public relations officer and project manager as these roles align with your skills and interest.
