Dear Sarah,
I hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying your vacation in Langkawi. I wanted to take a moment to write and explain an incident that happened while I was staying at your house.
While cleaning the living room, I accidentally knocked over the beautiful modern vase that has been passed from your family for generations. I was reaching for a book on the shelf above it, and in my eagerness, my elbow brushed against the vase, causing it to fall to the floor and shatter into pieces. I am truly devastated by this mistake as I know how much the vase meant to you.
Please accept my sincerest apologies for my carelessness. I cannot express how sorry I am for the damage caused for something that meant so precious to you. I completely understand if you feel disappointed or upset. It was never my intention to harm anything in your lovely home.
To fix my mistake for the situation, I would like to either replace the vase or add money towards the cost of getting it repaired. Please let me know which option you would like, and I will take care of it as soon as possible. I love and value our friendship deeply, and I want to ensure that I fix my mistake
Take care and enjoy the remaining days of your vacation. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Warm regards, Maryam
