The following diagram illustrates how pencils are made. The pencil making process consists of 10 stages. Commencing with creating graphite from ground graphite, H2O and clay ,and ending with creating smooth finish with the help of the snaping machine.
How the pencil lead is made. To begin with, graphite dough is constructed from ground graphite, H2O and clay.Afterwards, graphite dough is put into forming press to shape the graphite rod. This graphite rod needs to be drying in oven under the 100⁰C.
How the pencil case is made. Three of the wood grooves are cut in wooden slat for putting lead into them. Then, they are smeared with the glue.
After wood groves are smeared with glue, leads are put into them. Later, one needs to do the exact thing one more time and put second slat on first slat.To make it complete, one grabs these “sandwiches” and puts them into snapping machine. This machine creates a smooth finish for pencil.
