The table demonstrates the variation of people who went to other countries as tourists in 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005.
It is clearly illustrated that the majority of tourists started their journey toward foreign countries in 2005. However, the largest number of people who traveled internationally was from Europe in the same year.
By analyzing the table in detail, it could be noticed that Europe has by far sent the greatest population of tourists, which was 400.2 million in 2005 and 393.2 million in 2000. Asia and the Pacific owned the second rank of sending tourists around 135.8 million and 117.4 million in 2005 and 2000, respectively. Moreover, America was positioned in third place for sending international tourists with a slight decrease of 5 million people over a 5-year period. Nevertheless, the number of people who went to travel in Africa and the Middle East was negligible.
On the other hand, it could also be seen that Europe was still the pioneer in sending international tourists throughout the world with the number of 390.3 million in 1995 and 280.2 million people in 1990. In addition, all other countries experienced a slight increase in their traveler numbers, such as the Middle East in which 9.8 million people decided to travel in 1990 and soared to 11.3 million by 1995.
