Dear Martha,

How are you doing? Everything is fine here. I’ve heard from Neil that you are planning to learn how to drive. Don’t back down; it’s a great decision.

Getting a driver’s license will be very beneficial for you. Once you have it, you won’t have to rely on your parents for rides when you want to go shopping or visit your friends. You’ll have the freedom to go wherever you want. Plus, you won’t need to carry your passport to buy alcohol.

I know a person named Asif who runs a fairly well-known driving school here. He’s very good at teaching. I’ll attach his contact details with this letter. He charges only $40 per hour. We’re friends on Snapchat, and I will let him know about you, so you don’t need to worry. Just go there and mention my name.

There will be a lot of people who will try to discourage you from pursuing your plans, but please don’t listen to them. Love you, and take care of yourself.

Lovingly,

Minnu
