Dear Mr. Usman,
As you know, yesterday marked two years of my tenure as a deputy manager – financial planning in our company and keeping my career growth in mind, I would like to request you for a departmental rotation.
The role really helped me broaden my financial acumen where I learned how to analyze company’s financials, and how the whole corporate planning cycle works for the next year and long-term keeping in mind company’s aspirations. Moreover, I also got a flavour of learning about all the group companies and their performance and financials which were equally important.
But now, I feel like my learning curve has become stagnant. The move to the Investments department will help company promote its objective of prioritizing cross-functionality, while I can apply my financial planning expertise to the M&A analysis as well to make it meaningful.
This company holds great sentimental value to me as it is where I started my career from, the place where I built myself from scratch. Moreover, the modern culture, supportive colleagues and growth opportunities in the company are the reasons why I won’t consider switching jobs.
I am waiting for your response, and we can further discuss if you have any other suitable options for me.
Yours sincerely,
Alvina
