Band 5+: Your friend has been offered a place on a course at the university where you studied. He/ She would like your advice about finding a place to live. Write an email to your friend. In your email, describe where you lived when you were a student at the university. Recommend the best way for him/her to look for accommodation. Warn him/her of mistakes students make when choosing accommodation.

Dear Amelia,

I am pleased to hear that you coming to my university for your higher studies , so I am writing this letter to give you some accommodation tips and advice before you book decent place to stay.

While I was a student in the university I lived in the university accommodation which really helped me in the time management process because they were close to my university campus. This helped me to reach my class on time.

I would prefer you to look for the accommodation on the notice board and join student sorority/fraternity groups for recommendation and look for the rooms with proper facility available as mentioned on the agreement before joining them.

However, before joining any accommodation check the facility of the rooms should be clean with proper furniture as mentioned in the photo and it should be near the campus don’t go for the far side of campus it will take time for you to reach the class on time
