Dear Tonny
I was very happy to receive your news, congratulations for securing your place on the Islamic University of Indonesia. That is a massive achievement, and I am certain you will be fit in there. I am sorry it has been so long since we last spoke, I heard this news from my mother and I would have been excited to offer any help.
I heard you will finding a some place when you moved here, as finding a suitable place is indeed one of biggest challenges when moving to new city. I can share my own experience, during my first year, I lived in a shared student house with 4 my friends from my faculty. Its major advantage was its nearness to the campus, being just a two minute with motorcycle from the main gate. Besides, living with classmates made organising study groups was more efficient.
Consider the best way to search, you can join the “UII Pemuda Pancasila Students” group on telegram or facebook, as it is very active and effective with a lot of students offering rooms. Secondly, the university’s own accommodation portal is a crucial and secure resource, as all listings are examine by the administration.
A critical warning I must give is to avoid the common mistake of rushing into an agreement. You must never transfer a deposit or sign a contract without having seen the property first, ideally in person or at the very least via a comprehensive video tour. Additionally, always confirm whether utility bills like electricity, water, and internet are included in the rent, as hidden costs can cause considerable financial struggle later.
I am so excited for you to beginthisjourney. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further advices or support.
Warmest regards,
Rifqi
