Dear Sir or Madam,

As a resident of Waterloo, I am writing this letter regarding the proposed closure of the sports and leisure centre.

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this sports centre plays an important role in our lives. It is connected with my lifelong memories, as I have been playing cricket with my friends since childhood, and we also use the gym area every morning.

Not only that, but this sports centre is equally utilized by the local community. Children play games after school here, so that they do not need to find another playground. Besides this, older people usually sit with their friends and get relaxed.

Unfortunately, this is the only sports and leisure centre we have in our locality, and if it is closed, we all have to go to the Park Avenue Ground which is around 4 km away from our community. This will affect children and older people the most, as they cannot travel far away without getting assistance, which is why I believe that a closure of this sports area should be reconsidered.

Thank you for your time. I hope you will reconsider your decision regarding sports centre.
