As society continues to pollute the air by various factors, there is an ongoing assumption to raise the cost of fuel to reduce usage of cars and vehicles, resolving pollution resolution. I completely disagree with this statement because cars are not the dominant root of pollution, and increasing the price would only affect the economy and will not be sustained as a solution.
The first notable disagreement is that pollution cannot be resolved by simply increasing the cost of fuel and energy because they are not the leading factor at all. Moreover, the real roots lie in factories’ and complexes’ emissions, which dominate the real greenhouse pollution. As researched by the global scientific organizations, it has been illustrated that over half of total pollution causes lie in the carbon released by industries. Therefore, making it will not be the resolution to the cause and would damage the efficient lifestyle of society.
The latter reason could be characterized by the importance of the fossil energy itself. Increasing the cost and value of fuel would substantially damage the domestic economy of the nation and could potentially ruin current efforts at greenhouse gas reduction. By relying on vehicle transportation, most economy outputs have been allocated and benefited from it significantly. Therefore, making this approach to this important sector would indirectly make environmental preservation an unpopular choice by negatively damaging its importance in daily sectors to the citizens.
In conclusion, the opinion to reduce usage of fuel by increasing cost can be challenged with numerous factors, such as hurting the economy, damaging the convenience of the people, and not effectively resolving the root of the crisis overall.
