More individuals are suffering from health problems that can be cured by modern medicine due to modern lifestyle. So, some people believe traditional medicine should be returned to cope with this matter. Personally, I definitely disagree with this opinion, and I will explain it in detail.
Traditional medicine is made from natural resources such as trees, herbs, and flowers; however, at the present time, there are a lot of severe health problems, and they do not have the ability to solve them because of their limitations. Traditional medicines may lack scientific evidence, precise dosing, and consistency in results, and they may not follow medical standards. For instance, traditional medicine cannot treat severe illnesses such as cancer or heart disease because they may not provide effective treatment and may even be harmful for patients.
The increase in people who are not suffering from incurable health problems is not the result of modern medicines, but is from the unhealthy current lifestyle. Therefore, that is not the fault of modern medicine, so there is no need to encourage the use of traditional medicine. First of all, they need to change their lifestyle first; you need to be more active and more positive. Unless you change your lifestyle, even traditional medicine and modern medicine cannot save your life in a timely manner. Living a healthy life, which means you have positive actions and living in this condition, also improves people’s mentality and health. Also, the people around you affect your thoughts and your actions; for example, people who smoke a lot will have less possibility of survival as they face a high risk of lung cancer.
In brief, I believe that encouraging a return to traditional medicine may not be helpful because pollution makes it difficult to maintain its effectiveness. Additionally, whether it’s traditional or modern medicine, treating diseases becomes ineffective if people don’t adopt healthier lifestyles.
