Nowadays, many people argue that the freedam of speace should be allowed in our societies. Meanwhile, some people may think it means we can freely make even hate speach. I completely disagree with this statement. Although the right to address our thought is necessary, it is obvious some kinds of opinions are harmful.
Firstly, the reason why we must not make a hate speech is that such speech must be harmful not only a certain people but also our societies. From the perspective of updating our communities, since the world is becoming globalized and diversed, hate speech may make our society delayed. As a result of this, local goverments can not bring more people from other places because of its bad reputation, which causes to weakening the society.
Subsequently, even though some people argue that criticizing and looking down to some kinds of people can protect original communities which last for a long time , the government prohibit people from harming people in such a way. A study from Koyama University in Japan indicates that the criminal rate is much lower where the number of hate speech is low than where the number of that is high. Thus, hate speech can lead to the unsafety in a society.
In conclusion, hate speeches harm our societies instead of bringing something good. In my opinion, not only the government should keep purnishing someone who make a hate speech, but also people worldwide should be aware of the importance not making such speeches to develop our communities in a peaceful way.
