Band 5+: A persons health is their own responsibility rather than the governments responsibility. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, the most common issue is health protection. In some cases, it is true that government has many important responsibilities, however, i believe that individuals should take own responsibility, and care about their physical condition. In this essay i will discuss both of views, and give relevant examples.

On the one hand, i think residents should take duty for their own healthcare. It is usual thought that authorities should provide better conditions for citizens in order to protect their health. Nevertheless, there are some things, which cannot be done by governments, so people should maintain their routine by themselves. For example, physical training is one of the most helpful exercises for our body to be strength, and i think it only people’s obligation to do that kind of exercise on everyday routine. As a result, physical training on a daily routine might give a lot of energy, which is better for those, who usually work or study in one place, without going out.

On the other hand, government can provide better conditions for citizens health by adding several programs in people’s daily-life practise. For instance, government can create certain organisations, such as stretching or yoga, with prices that would be affordable for average amount of people. Such creations might motivate people to take care of their body health, and even provide better life quality.

To conclude, even though government has ability to manage health problems in the country, i believe that individuals should be more awareness about their own well-being.
