Many believe that human can use as much natural resources as they need to mantain a steady growth in life conditions and industry productivity. On the other hand, it is a widely believe that we should put limits to our progress in order to respect and mantain the environment. I agree with those that think that it is very important to do not damage the planet anymore because the consequeces could be irreparable.
In the last century the world development has increased dramatically and the result of this growth is already visible on natural world. Many species have extinguished due to the destruction of their habitats to extract raw materials. But probably, the most devastating effect of human intervention it is the climate change. The gases emission from industries and transports have damaged the atmosphere and, as a result, the world temperature has soared, destroying natural ecosystems. In my opinion, officials should be more worried in finding a solution to this problem and imposing restrictions to the natural resources use.
It is also true that world´s population is getting bigger every year and human technological progress is going faster. The amount of natural resouces needed to mantain this amount of people and keep a decent life level for everyone is huge. Nevertheless, from my point of view, human should evolve to more ecologic sources and make an effort to take care of the planet. Fortunatelly, throughout last years this concern has become popular and nowadays many measures have been taken to solve this problem.
Overall, whilst is true that it is not a simple task and would stop the human development, governments should do more to protect the planet earth and mantain its wildlife.
