Nowadays, world has been revolving around various degrees of crime from petty theft to heinous violations. Some people think that every convict must be educated and rehabilitated to lead a better life. In this essay I will argue that, this must be implemented in all states prison.
Firstly, the offenders should receive a qualification to improve their lives after finishing their sentence. For instance, Robert Downey junior was imprisoned not only for possession of heroin but also for substance abuse. Although, he spent his early years of adulthood in prison, he turned his life around to a successful actor. This was mainly due to the rehabilitation and the quality of education provided in the cell.
The second reason is to repent for one’s mistake which would be the only ailment given for the victim. For illustration, Dahmer was a serial killer who was sentenced to life for the rape and murder of his dates. As the result of the guidance and the reclamation, he realized the grievous nature of the crime eventually became a model incarcerator. However, he was killed by his fellow inmate following his repentance.
The purpose of imprisonment can be fulfilled by focusing on different mode of study and rehabilitation course. Moreover, prison must not only be an area of solitude, it can also enable an opportunity to straighten their principles of living.
