Education became an integral part of our life. It is volunteering that is becoming more and more common. In addition to studying at university, many students volunteer in their spare time. Some people think that it is a must, while others prefer to do other things in their free time. In my view, voluntary work should be optional.
Firstly, such work as volunteering should be based on free will. If a student does not have passion for it, it can be harmful for others. For instance, such work as reforestation, donating food and cleaning up beaches needs effort, desire and love to help. In case of lack of desire and coercion to work, volunteering can be done poorly and people you help may not be satisfied. Moreover, forcing them to do such activities can impose pressure on students, which can lead to burning out. consequences should be linked to the first idea
Apart from having a passion for volunteering, you also need a lot of free time for this kind of pastime. Universities require doing homework, which can take up a lot of time. Homework is the practice of the material covered in class and If you do not do it, you may have bad academic performance. If you do not study well, you can be a bad specialist in the future and do harm to people. What is more, some students might already work in their spare time. Some of them do not receive financial support from their parents and they are forced to earn a living. Actually, working while studying can be really beneficial for students , as they gain experience and it will be less complicated for them to work in the future.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that all voluntary work should only be based on free will, otherwise it can cause several problems not only for students, but also for people around.
