Nowadays, during universities, studying abroad or doing a work placement have become a popular and widespread topic. Although this situation has numerous disadvantages, in my opinion, benefits outweigh drawbacks. Since this learning way can help students for their own careers in the future as well as they can gain new experiences and persepectives. This essay will explane both advantages and disadvatages in detail.
One major benefit is that being intern and studying abroad are play a vital role in the careers of young, as these can gain new perpectives, experiences, and new opportunities. As a result, this sitution can make students fell confident for difficult academic and profession issues. For example, my university applys this method effectivelly for enginnering students and doing a work placement is compulsory. Thus, we learned pratic and technical information in factories or offices. Moreover, some universities have some programs for studying abroad such as Erasmus. Therefore, students can make international friends, networks and find new academic opportunities.
On the other hand, there are some drawbacks because some students can use these opportunities for detrimental purposes. For instance, some schoolarships might want to come back their own countries, so universities can lost a great deal of money and time. Since these programs require high finance and effort. In addition, univerities have to take responsibilities for doing a work placement of students because some majors have dangerous like electical engineering, so universities should control processes.
In conclusion, including a period of time spent studying abroad or doing a work placement at universities’ undergraduate courses have different drawbacks. However, I belive that advantages outweigh the disadvantages because this way can offer new opportunities to learners for their own careers.
