Rising number of people use internet to read the news, however high number of people will use newspaper as major source of information. Reason why I completely disagree with that statement is that valuation of technology has huge impact on media services.
The Idea of “newspaper will remail as major source of information” has already started to weaken. Recent developments and innovations of technology has simultaneously improved media services. Newspapers were main source of information along with books, whereas now newspapers mostly plays archive role in many countries. After early developments of technology such as radio and television had started to broadcast news to people. These developments were first steps towards modern media. Rapid innovations in software and hardware of technology also changed peoples reading habits. In modern ages people mostly get information from internet, social media. Adaptation of daily life to technology made easier to reach the news. The effort wasted on looking for new information has been reduced by technologies. Easy access to smartphone and internet makes people able to access information without depending on time and location. Traditional source of information: newspapers are limited to instant information. Modern technology can publish newest news instantly, whereas publishing process of newspaper have many stages. As example the number of newspapers sellers have reduced over years and number of newspapers publishers also starting to close. Moreover the way of consuming information of people have changed. Nowadays most people are likely to watches tv, uses videos on social media to consume new information.
In conclusion, I disagree the statement of newspapers will remain as major source of information, whereas technological developments have already replaced newspaper’s importance and changed people’s habbits.
