In professional life, it is observed that individuals transition from one job to another frequently. While there could be several reasons behind this, it is often seen as a debatable topic. Although, some believe it to be a negative trend, I consider it as positive trend and through this essay I will be discussing reasons for it.
One of the primary reasons to support this view is work experience. Some employees want to work under different organizations because they look for varied kind of work. Workers usually apply through career portals and move into new roles once they receive job offers. This pattern is usually noticed among multinational corporations where some individuals resign to work in new companies. Similarly, new hires fill their position immediately. Therefore, through this analogy it is understood that changing careers should not be seen as a negative trend.
Another reason to support my view is negative work environment. More often, people work under toxic work culture, which affects their morale and self-confidence. They often do not receive required support which they intend, ultimately leading to their untimely departure. For instance, during the great resignation period of 2021-22, many left firms without receiving a new job offer. Consequently, this affected usual business activities. Therefore, positive organization culture plays a vital role in reducing the number of changes.
In light of the above discussion, I see moving from job to another one as a positive aspect. With career in mind, everyone thinks before taking this leap. Moreover, this is a recurring phenomenon in daily work life and everyone goes through this transition at least once in a lifetime.
