In contemporary society, a considerable amount of people use online shopping more than visiting stores. This essay will discuss the factors that contribute to this trend and detrimental aspects of this tendency.

To begin with, online shopping can be a convenient way to buy some needs for people’s lives. For citizens living in remote areas, away from urban centers, online shopping plays a crucial role for time-saving when buying everyday goods. Moreover, the huge advantage of online shopping is that individuals can find the items they need straightforward way. The internet will give all proposals from all the world of what you need, especially with variety of price, which is significant fact for some social groups. Consequently, this method of buying things helps save consumers time and money to some extent, so it is one of the keys why online shopping has become increasingly popular.

However, there are some disadvantages too. For instance, the quality of products may suffer and there is not always opportunity to do a refund, so it is wasting money without the chance to receive them back. Another one situation the public may face is the closing shops because of no demand from people in real life. Companies will store their merchandise in the warehouses, and the 90% of space in shopping malls will be taken by restaurant and cafes.

In conclusion, online shopping remains popular globally, but factors such as the quality and cost play an important role in the world of shopping. In addition, development of online shopping can cause downsides such as closure of retail stores.
