What if, one day, people woke up in the morning and found that every invention that has ever come into existence were all nothing but a dream? It is horrific to imagine a life without computers, laptops or other gadgets as they all have occupied our mundane lives. As much excruciating as it might sound, computers have merged into our bones and soul to the point that life would be soulless without them, for a number of reasons.
As an educator and a student myself, I have been using computers and other electronical devices in my mundane daily routines. Whether it is for giving assignments to my students or practising the exercises, it is undeniable that these devices have provided me with utmost care and the assistance I would ever ask for. Assignments are graded and revised, modified and enhanced irrevocably, all thanks to the AI assistance built in my laptop software for more convenience. Furthermore, if I have to attend online classes or search up the necessary resources for learning, there are always abundant information archives without having the need for me to go and browse all the catalogues at the library. Bookmarks can easily be made and teaching aids are easily forward, so, what more could we ask for?
On the other hand, it would be unwise to say that an intelligent human being is overly reliant on a machine they themselves created. However, our lives would be boring if we have to go back to the stone age when all the colourful human inventions were zero to none. Where would all the comfort and joy in life b, if there were no more computers. Paper usage will increase and more tasks in workplaces would revert back to traditional manual work.
Thus, it would do more harm than good to human if there are no more computers in our daily interactions, learning and miscellaneous tasks. Nevertheless, “if you can be replaced by machines, you deserve to be.” Undoubtedly, humans would not have it any other way, so, until then, why not let us be indulged in our own machinery fantasy?
