Personally, I partially agree with the statement, and there are so many reasons for that firstly, talking about the agree side there are many circumstamces where animals should be used such as making cosmetics and some of the areas where they are used to make clothing accesiories. While on the other hand there is a reason where i disagree with the statement that is in some area such as labs and research centre where animlas are used only for medical purpose and to make medicine for the benifits of animals.
Moreover, talking about the agree side i agree that testing for non essential products like cosmetics and fashion should be prohibited. This is only cruelty and thats hurts animals. to protect animals there are so many NGO’s and government bodies that are working to protect animals from that kinds of researches. For instance i know a NGO which name is animal welfare foundation who works for animals and they are knowing for their works, till now they saved thousands of animals from illegal trafficking.
Therefore, in some areas where animals are used for medical research to rid of illness that cause problems to the society. but nowadays there are several ways to do research without the animals but in some areas scientists are totally depend of them. On the other hand, vaccine like polio,COVID 19 were only possible because of animal trials. It has saved millions of human life.
To conclude, there are numerous method that can be used to save animals which is used for medical research and scientists are also using alternative method to protect animlas. But in some areas we are totally depends on animal.
