Nowadays, artificial intelligence is becoming more popular all over the world. It plays an important part in our daily lives. Although AI can perform many tasks faster than humans, I disagree with the statement that it will soon surpass human capabilities in most areas and decision making because human can express emotions, creativity and critical thinking.
To begin with, human intelligence is essential in such professions where they can express the emotions, they can understand the feelings of an individual. For example, a psychiatrist needs to understand the patient’s emotions, their thinking or understandings, and providing them a proper treatment. Therefore, in such profession psychiatrist cannot totally rely on the AI systems, because it cannot replace relationship of a doctor and patient. However, there might have benefits of technology, but we should also see the aspects of the failure when the technology might get freeze or not working.
Moreover, human creativity and critical thinking play a vital role in the field of education. Although, AI can provide information and generate answers, teachers can adapt their teaching methods according to students’ individual needs and learning difficulties. For instance, when a student struggles to understand a complicated concept, a teacher can use creative explanations and practical activities to make the lesson easier to understand. Furthermore, teachers can motivate students and recognise their emotional difficulties, which helps create a supportive learning environment. As a result, human abilities remain indispensable in education because effective teaching requires more than simply providing information.
In conclusion, I believe that human can still make decision and can be creative or critical thinking. I disagree that AI will surpass human capabilities in some areas of work. Therefore, I could believe that AI can assist the humans but cannot just replace them.
