People’s lives are too much influenced by the media nowadays. This essay will not only discuss the media’s affect on the world but also illustrate that how it is a negative evolution. Firstly, I will share the impact of media on every individual and secondly, I will show how it is a negative development.
To begin with, media in its different form affects our lives majorly. Furthermore, it has a lot influential content which drive us to a materialistic life. For instance, people often buy luxury items and fashionable cloths because of the greed or trend without realizing whether they need it or not. Social media is also dangerous platform for young people. Moreover, they follow their idols on social sites such as Instagram and Facebook and try to become like them which is a total distraction from studies and personality development. For example, a survey conducted by university of Nagpur revealed that many students who are getting influenced by famous celebrities on social sites are getting low grades.
On the other hand, News is also have become a bad source to know about current affairs seeing that, increasing number of fake reports. As seen in India, the mass communication companies are printing, telecasting and promoting violence between two communities. After all the security and privacy developments in media, still an increment in online frauds is noticed. However, it is just a hype that media is safe. According to a report of National C.A academy, online transactional and bank account hacking frauds are highest in 2024.
To sum up, people’s way of life is highly controlled by the media which is not at all a beneficial or positive development.
