When it comes to the issue of whether children are influenced by their father or mother, a significant number of individuals stand with different kinds of views. Many people believe that boys and girls are affected according to their gender while parenting. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with this notion and my opinion will be discussed in further paragraphs how a boy can take her mother as a source of inspiration and a girl follow her father’s footsteps.
On one hand, every child is somehow influenced by their father and mother or both. Anyone can take responsibilty of their babies. For a daughter who is very close to her father and find him in every spheres of her life, could treat her father as a source of inspiration. Even a single father can raise a girl with full of care. So not only a son can follow his father’s steps, but also a daughter can do. For example, in many families daughters are called the princess of king, which expresses the shadow of a father on his daughter.
On the flip side, a son who has been grown up with a mother’s care, can be fully attached to his mother. It is often said that a son always wants his future wife as like his mother. Although a daughter always possesses her mothers’s trait as she has to maintain many things as her mother did, a son never wants to break away from his mother’s guidance. To cite an example, a son is also regarded as mother’s prince in most of the families today.
To conclude, considering both the aforementioned points of views, it can be clearly said that both father and mother are responsible for guiding and nurturing their children, no matter what the sex is.
