Many people believe that sports must be taught in schools due to the fact that children are now less active in their leisure time than in the past. I totally agree with this statement for some reasons, and in this essay, I will explain why.
Some people believe that sport lessons are a waste of valuable study time. In my view, after high-intensity study time, engaging in physical activities allows students to reduce stress and enhance their productivity or their overall performance in study. Other people may think that schools need to spend a lot of money on sports facilities. However, there are a variety of sports that don’t cost much money to buy equipment such as running, swimming and martial arts.
In my point of view, sport classes are necessary for some reasons. First of all, if students are unfit, it can have negative effects on their health and lead to many serious health problems. For example, being overweight or a maintaining sedentary lifestyle is a major cause of hypertension and diabetes. In addition, sports help children learn discipline and working together as team. If students want to sub the match in team sports like football or basketball, they need to coordinate with other members. Therefore, it helps them develop teamwork and problem- solving skills. Furthermore, playing sports also facilitates students to be more active and interacting with their friends, which can avoid social isolation and build up their confidence.
In conclusion, I completely agree with the idea of obliging physical education classes in schools in light of its positive effects on the development of children
