Band 4+: Coastal communities worldwide are experiencing more frequent and severe flooding due to rising sea levels, yet many local governments lack effective long-term strategies. What are the primary reasons for this inadequate response, and what comprehensive solutions could be implemented to protect these vulnerable areas?

Costal communities worldwide are experiencing high risk due to the floode’s because of the im=ncreasing sea levels. Sea levels are increasing due to the climate change and in the average temperature of the word which is caused by the global worming and making the glaciers and frosen ice to melt and made the costal floods frequent and a social and environmental problem. Depite its a growing danger many local governments lack effective long term strategies and some even fails. The main problem that the government lack or fails to overcome’s this problem is that we are not financial strong enough to make a permanent solution to this problem. These high fincancial cost of coastal protection is the main limitaion in the construction of the sea wall ,flood barriers, drainage system and other protection investements. Long term flood protection may recieve insufficient funding because the developing countries have limited budgets and they have to invest in many other things like education, health facality, etc. Poor urban planing also one of the reasons to the problem in many costal reagions houses and infrastructure continues to be constructed in the flood prone areas because of the rapid population growth and eeconomical development and as these areas become dense in population it becomes hard and expencive to relocate all the peoples located the area. There are several measures that can be implemented to overcom this problem.

First, is that national government and international organisations provide local athories with financial and tecnical support. Construction of the sea wall and drainage system should the priority in these areas and everything should be constructed with keeping in mind about the future sea levels and shoud the prepared before head.

Second, the natural based solutions should be made which is the construction of the natural wall like mangrove forests, wetlands, etc which effectively reduce the effects of the problem.

These are the some of the solutions and causes of the problem which should be done before head and should be prepare before anymore damage is done due to the incompletence on our side and national government of the contories should look forward to the problem and the endangerd life of the costal due to the increasing flood frecuences in the reagion.
