Nowadays, many people argue that computers are becoming increasingly important in education and will eventually replace teachers. While I agree that computers can take some roles of the teachers,I believe that teachers will still be necessary and play a vital role in education.
On the one hand, I agree that computers can take on some of the roles of teachers. To begin with, students can use computers to access a wide range of information and learn the study materials on the internet, which can help them study independently without always relying on their teachers. In addition, educational computers such as Chat gpt, Gemini… can provide for students the answer and detailed explanation. For instance, the app Ai Go math in Vietnam reports that 60% of students use it to check the answer and have an explanation.
On the other hand, I believe that teachers are still essential in education, because they can provide support that computers cannot. Firstly, teachers can explain the lesson more easily than Ai, because they can understand their student’s, so if pupils cannot understand the lesson they can change the teaching method or give a simple example to make the lecture easier. Secondly, educators can motivate students and encourage them to participate in classroom activity. For example, in some schools in China teachers often organize group discussions to encourage students to share their ideas and connect with friends.
In conclusion I partly agree that teachers may replace teachers in some aspects of education. However, teachers still play a vital role because they can understand their students and motivate them in the classroom.
