Essay:

In recent years, increasing crime rates have become more serious issue in urban areas. This concerning situation can be attributed to unemployment and the weaknesses of punishments. However, several measures such as creating more opportunities to work and making laws strengthened can be taken to address the problem.

There are several factors contributing this issue. One clear reason for this problem is increasing unemployment. Since the number of employers decreased, this has led to improve crime rates. Especially, it is not easy to live in urban areas without work and income. Another contributing factor is weaknesses of punishments. It allows thieves to make a crime another time. Because they might think that paying the fine payment is enough for crime.

Despite the seriousness of the problem, there are practical solutions that could help alleviate it. The first feasible solution is creating more opportunities to work people who has not been working. For example, development of various projects to employ people in garden or construction work. It might be useful for the society if the government paid attention to create vacancies for jobless. Moreover, to build a strengthened laws could also be an effective approach. If the rules are strength, pickpockets will think more broadly about malfeasance, before to commit a crime.

In conclusion, although rising crime rates present serious challenges such as unemployment and weak laws, it can be managed through job creation and strengthen laws.
