Our modern world is technically advanced compared with the pas times thanks to modern science and gadgets. People all over the world use modern technologies on their daily basis and children are no exception. I disagree with the statement that technology has made young generation less creative than some years before and I will provide reasons for that in my essay. In my view, technology provides new tools for creativity and encourages exploration, these benefits of technologies were not accessible in the past.
First of all, there is a wide range of technological tools nowadays, which develop modern children’s creativity. Children can use applications and software to create their own digital paintings, animation and graphic designs. These opportunities of using modern technologies in the sphere of digital art and design push the boundaries of traditional art forms and develop creativity skills. One mode digital tool is 3D printing, which also affects youngsters’ creativity in a positive way. 3D printing allows children to design and create physical objects according to their own designs, encouraging children to create more and more unique things.
Moreover, thanks to modern technologies children now are encouraged to explore, and exploration also contributes to the development of creativity as it expands knowledge and opens new horizons. Interactive games and simulations allow children to solve digital puzzles and discover different worlds, stimulating their imagination and problem-solving skills. Also, opportunities of personalized learning inspire children to explore their creativity in ways that suits them best. Technology can adopt to individual learning skills, styles and interests, which make the process of learning flexible and suitable for every child. It is not a secret that during the learning process, new neural connections are created in the human brain, which contribute to the development of creative skills.
To sum up, technology is vitally significant for children’s creativity. Adults should help children to start using modern technologies and develop their creative potential through digital forms of engagement.
