Though it is a bonus if celebrities were to use their fame to raise awareness on sensitive issues, it is best if celebrities stay out of politics for the most part, with occasional charity acts or support to innocents.

There are many forums, illegal or not, for people to sell information on celebrities, and extremists could put influencers in danger if they made an offensive move. Despite that, I believe it is also important to contribute in helping those in need, or speaking up against evil in a moderate manner. This is not only to prevent comments that claim a celebrity is too privileged to care, but also to let celebrities be fulfilled and bring their fame to good use. This can boost their reputation along with their influence.
Overall, it is best to strike a balance between both active and passive towards sensitive issues. Celebrities are trained to behave in a proper manner, some may be unlucky to be trained on behaving badly for hate popularity. Some celebrities do not have the privilege to speak freely on topics, some may not even have access to the media to be aware of such topics.
