There is a view that the best option to ensure traffic safety is to introduce stricter laws for drivers. I disagree with this idea, because most of the accidents on the road do not happen due to drivers, it happens because of the poor infrastructure on roads and weather conditions.
One important argument for my view is poor road infrastructure. Nowadays, there are many roads in bad condition, and on this roads everything is poorly developed. For example, lighting systema, a lack of pedestrian lane and uneven roads, these features are often badly neglected in suburban areas. A lack of these essential safety features on roads to maintain safety for pedestrians and drivers can cause serious accidents especially at night time.
Another crucial reason for supporting my view is that these road accidents often happen due to natural phenomena. The weather conditions are becoming harsher year by year and quite frequently induce on the road accidents. For instance, in a city like London, at night time everywhere is covered with blinding fog and no one can see further than 2 meter. This natural condition often causes road accidents. In such situations even skilled drivers cannot avoid these accidents, since every movement is unpredictable As a result, severe punishments are ineffective in such situations because natural phenomena are unavoidable.
In conclusion, some people believe that there should be severe laws for drivers to ensure road security. I disagree with this view, because not every road accident happens due to drivers, these accidents frequently happen because of poorly developed infrastructure and weather conditions which are unavoidable.
