In contemporary society, debates regarding the efficacy of a high unemployment rate have garnered considerable attention. From my perspective, while some people believe that secondary education has no effect, I personally disagree with this assertion to a large extent, as I maintain that the advantages of a university diploma surpass any potential drawbacks associated with a high unemployment rate.
To begin with, recently, people have taken steps forward in the topic of secondary education. In other words, there is a wide range of opportunities for higher education, such as plentiful workplaces due to new technologies. To be specific, the number of individuals interested in the field of higher education has rapidly increased, as universities provide people with the ability to work remotely in foreign companies; furthermore, most employers require higher education rather than primary education. Therefore, a higher education diploma not only assists people in getting a well-paid job but also in learning new skills for plentiful jobs. For instance, recent studies from the BBC indicate that a high level of unemployment is less frequent among people with higher education.
On the flip side, the implications of higher education should not be understated, as they may lead to detrimental consequences, such as time loss. To put it another way, most bosses require practical experience; this means that young individuals after graduating have little experience in their field. It is an undeniable fact that young individuals struggle with their work at the beginning of their careers; moreover, they could not work normally during their education. Therefore, while people with only primary education gain practical experience for a couple of years after graduating, students with higher education lose time in colleges. For example, in some countries, students could not find appropriate work for themselves.
In conclusion, although there are some disadvantages, notably in terms of finding jobs at the beginning of their careers, it is essential to acknowledge the importance of higher education, as it provides people with many opportunities in the long term. Therefore, I believe that the benefits clearly outweigh the drawbacks, particularly in terms of a sustainable future.
