Band 5: Each year, the crime rate increases. What are the causes of crime and what could be done to prevent this rise in criminal activity? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

Every year, the felony rate rises. What are the reasons of crime and what could be done to deter this soar in criminal acting? I strongly agree with up ward trend of criminal activities. I will discuss and reveal my perspective and some solutions in this essay.

I think each year the crime statistics rises. And seemingly, no one is able to stop it. From my perspective, one of the causes of increases the criminal activities is high unemployment rate. When people be unemployed, they will try to earn money from various ways. For example, they will do robbery or some other petty crimes. I think the other contributing factor is sending young criminals to the prison. I believe it is wrong, because when we send them to the jail, they will meet other criminals, in particular hardened criminals. therefore, they will learn new crimes and some bad offense, and then will illustrate them in the community.

I believe the government has a crucial role in decreases the criminal activities. For example, the state can increase the employment rate and wants the great companies to employ the young people. I think the other solution returns to families. They have vital role, such as the government. So, they should try to teach teenagers in a good way and tell them how to treat in the community.

To sum uo, from my point of view, many reasons interactive in rises criminal acting. However, the government and families have an important role to decreases the crime rate. Totally, I believe we should send the criminals of petty crimes to the community services instead of prisons.
