In a world where education plays a crucial role in people’s lives, there is a view that governments should provide greater financial support for education for the adult population who are unable to read and write. While educating the adult population undoubtedly important, I believe that governments should invest more money in the education of young individuals, because educating young people is easier from childhood and there are the future workforce.
From a positive standpoint, educating the adult population plays a prominent role in society. First and foremost, being adult it does not mean that there are old and unable to work. Many adults have valuable experience throughout their lives, despite being unable to write or read. Authorities can provide to these people training with basic literacy skills, which helps significantly improve their independence and employment opportunities. Consequently, adults who lack basic literacy skills may have limited opportunities to move into office-based jobs. For example, people who trade in local markets and earn a low income may, after receiving basic education and training, have better opportunities to work with international companies and expand their businesses to the global market. As a result, improving adults’ literacy skills can increase their earning potential and help them achieve greater financial independence and contribute to the country’s economy.
I, however, believe that education young people far more significant. This is demonstrated by adults with shortage of time to influence to the country, because of health issues or lack of ambitions to change their priorities or behavior. Adults have developed yet and they have own character or goals in lives which is difficult change to compare young people. Young population it is generation which can be easily manipulated to change their behavior or priorities. There are more adaptable and receptive to new ideas. For example, if schools provide young people with education about technology, environmental protection and financial management, they can develop these skills from an early age and apply them throughout their careers.
In addition, investing in young people’s education can produce long-term benefits for both individuals and society by creating a skilled future workforce. Well-educated young people are more likely to acquire professional qualifications, find stable employment and become productive members of society. For instance, a student who receives high-quality education in science or technology may later become an engineer, doctor or IT specialist and contribute to the country’s economic development. This is because young people tend to have fresh ideas and are more willing to develop innovative solutions to existing problems. Therefore, prioritizing young people’s education can strengthen the economy and attract investment from international companies.
In conclusion, although providing education for illiterate adults can improve their independence, I believe the government should focus more on young people’s education. It can be explained by, educating young people from an early age can shape their future behavior and skill and creating a highly skilled workforce that can contribute to the country’s long-term economic development.
