Over the last few periods, people have had a tendency toward consuming vegetables more than meat. It is suggested that meat is not a necessary element for every meal in a day. I firmly disagree with this statement, which will be illustrated in the following paragraphs.
On the one hand, I agree that non-vegetable foods can be avoided in order to have a nutritious diet. For example, there are numerous ground-planted foods that can replace several nutrients of meat, especially protein. Study shows that eggs have around 15 grams of protein per 100 grams, which are closely approximate with red meat, with 20-30 grams of protein with the same amount. In addition, vegetarians have a lower risk of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases and cancers, than those who have a high consumption level of meat.
On the other hand, pursuing a vegetarian regimen may not be reasonable for all people, especially pregnant women and teenagers. Such a diet might not be sufficient in providing enough nutrients for these women, as it can lack high-quality protein, essential amino acids, and some other types of vitamins. For this reason, gravidas will not receive adequate quantities of nutrients to ensure the health of their own and also development of the fetus. Furthermore, children in puberty around eight to 12 years old are advised to absorb enough nutrition by having a well-balanced diet with all types of foods, which can be more conducive to their overall development.
To conclude, while a vegetarian diet can bring a significant health merit to individuals, regarding the reduction of dangerous ailments long-term, it might not be suitable for all people, especially gravidas and teenagers, as it is often advisable for these demographics to obtain a balanced diet with all the foods.
