Some believe that parents of children that can afford private education should not contribute to state through taxes. I completely disagree with this view.
First and foremost, it would be an arduous task to calculate the correct amount of tax relief from families that pay for private schooling, and employees working in that sphere would be totally overloaded by the sheer amount of work, which may cause slowdown in consideration of other applications. Secondly, the majority of people show no concerns about taxes in services they are fortunate not to use, such as police and fire brigade, at any time of their lifes.
I believe that more compelling argument against tax relief for these families would be that government may lose equal opportunities for all residents, and, thus, it may cause certain level of population being uneducated since not everyone can afford.
Futhermore, society would benifit from those taxes since most organizations that provide free from charge services are usually supported through tax system, and the removal of some level of funds may cause in the drop of the service quality they provide. Beyond these advantages for society, parents that can pay for private education still will need to have skilled and educated employees in their enterprises if they wish to be operate at high level, and free school can provide these workers.
In conclusion, I belive that the removal of taxes for certain categories because they can afford more than others may diminish an equality and would not be practical and logical for a government to do. Indeed, the presence of taxes for all citizens would result in prosperious future not only for residents but for the government too.
