In recent years, fast food has become an increasingly popular choice for people around the world due to its convenience and affordability. However, concerns have been raised about its effects on individuals’ health and lifestyle. While it is true that excessive consumption of fast food can lead to various health problems and negative lifestyle habits, I believe it is an oversimplification to say that fast food has only negative impacts.
Undoubtedly, fast food contains many unhealthy ingredients such as transfat, sugar and salt, etc. Therefore, with this eating habits people can easily get obesity, diabetes and heart disease. For example, many researches nowadays point that with a huge amount of fast food consumed in the United States, obesity rates have increased significantly.
On the another hand, many believes that processed food can help cutting down the time it takes to prepare a meal. So that, they can schedule to do other things they found important. This can be seen in Malaysian citizen, the Muslims prefer to buy instant food after the fasting day in Ramadan.
In conclusion, although fast food can contribute to health issues and unhealthy routines when consumed irresponsibly, it also offers certain advantages such as time-saving and accessibility. Therefore, rather than completely condemning fast food, it is more reasonable to encourage moderation and informed choices to minimize its harmful effects.
