Most of authorities think that art is not worth to invest money as they have more pressing areas which is needed support funding. Although these are undeniably important, I believe that art is also important according to several factors.
Firstly, art can provide more freedom for people’s overall development as they can enhance their creativity, critical thinking and emotional intelligence by engaging in artistic activities such as music,drama and painting. In addition, art can help to people to express feelings to others in an another way. For example, if they have feelings for someone but they are not able to find right words express emotions, painting is a great way to do it.
Secondly, the arts may contribute to the nation’s cultural identity and heritage. Without public support , many art institutions such as museums, galleries and theatres have not survive for a long times. By supporting the arts, future generations can have the opportunity to experience their traditions,customs and art forms as well as appreciate their rich cultural heritage .
The last but not least, art works contribute to the country’s economy. Creative art works, paintings and patterned historical buildings attract tourists and stimulate hospitality industry. For example, Samarqand may benefit lots of tourists’ visiting here in order to see ancient and art-related exhibitions.
In conclusion, while governments must take more responsibility to provide support improving medical and educational institutions, I highly recommend that they should not neglect the arts’ significant role in society and people’s life and they should take actions equally in arts’ improvement as other important sectors.
