Finding renewable energy should be huge attention by the governments. I entirely agree with this notion due to the detrimental effects caused by utilizing fossil fuels around the world.
Admittedly, looking for alternative sources of energy become a major concern in many parts of the world. Many residents are suffering from environmental pollution primarily caused by the emission from vehicles, industries, and households. For example, Jakarta, one of the metropolitan cities in Indonesia, reported almost every day the air quality index in the hazardous level, with more than 50% of pollution attributed to vehicle emmisions alone. These statistics emphasize that there is government involvement in prioritizing renewable energy, which can reduce harmful impacts on public health.
Furthermore, the supply of fossil fuels tends to decrease significantly, and a century is needed to restock these materials. As a result, scientists from developed countries have been starting research about renewable energy to replace fossil fuels in many sectors. For instance, Japan succeeded in utilizing solar energy as a primary resource for industries and households. This program not only diminishes air pollution in the city but also saves government funding. Additionally, several countries, such as Holland and New Zealand, have started using wind energy in many fields, and they have revealed that these programs have succeeded in reducing the usage of fossil fuels and environmental pollution.
In conclusion, I totally agree that governments have to pay tremendous attention to finding alternative sources of energy. A lack of supply of fossil fuels and the negative impacts of fuel emissions on the environment are the main reasons for these activities.
