Government spending on these categories have become a debatable topic. While education, recreation and sports, all play an important role in today’s society, it is arguable that spending more money in any one category will not be fair. This essay will discuss about both perspectives.
Education has become one of the basic requirements in today’s society. Without education, even few day- to day activities will become difficult. For instance, in schools, children are taught about how to read, learn about the world, how to wisely use money and so on. At college, students are trained that is related to their major, which will be crucial for their career and the well-being of the society. In these situations, without education, it will harder for the society to function properly.
On the other hand, other activities such as sports or recreations also have role in one’s health effects. These types of activities help in maintaining body physiques which is essential for the overall health of the body. Doing some relaxing activities such as walking or jogging also has effects on person’s mental well-being. These types of activities, if done in their dedicated venues such parks or gyms, these activities have way more effects.
In conclusion, spending considerably more amount money in either of activities more would not be fair, as both has some roles in everyone’s life. In my opinion, education has slightly more importance than leisure activities. So, investing in both is vital. As a result, it does not have a big impact if the government spends slightly more in education compared to that of parks, gym or clubs.
