Advantage And Disadvantage

Band 7+: Some cities have few control over design and construction on housing and office buildings. People think that they are free to choose the design they like. Do you think the advantages outweigh disadvantages?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In today’s modern era, an increasing number of people argue that there should be fewer restrictions on people designing and constructing their own house and office buildings. I believe that granting individuals design and construction freedom could significantly boost their creativity and workplace productivity, making it an advantage.

First and foremost, when people are permitted to customize their own living areas, it creates a space where they feel significantly more comfortable and relaxed because they are able to spend their personal time in a place where they enjoy staying. It also allows individuals to design how they wish a house or office building to be.

Furthermore, in open areas like corporate offices, company owners often wish to create an environment that suits their workstyle and encourage employees to stay focused . At the same time, this relaxing atmosphere could motivate them to work harder and produce higher quality products or services.

Despite these benefits, allowing complete freedom in design and construction can lead to significant financial disadvantages, as custom-built properties are often far more expensive than ready-made options, many individuals prefer to buy pre-constructed residential properties like condominiums because it is much more convenient and cheaper compared to building it. It also allows them to move in quickly without the hassle of hiring a designer .

In conclusion, I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages because building our own spaces allows people to spend time in their own personal comfort zones whenever they feel stressed or down. Although designing a custom home demands a higher budget than buying standardized properties, it can improve the overall workplace and lifestyle productivity.
