It has been argued that tv series are the best way to learn while others believe it’s a time consuming process. Both supporters have strong ideas because it can be both harmful and benefits at the same time depending on the channels and programs.
Television would be a great element for education at distance because there are some people who live in rural areas where there is no school available, in this case it’s really great to watch tv and learn new things about their surroundings such as in TVs there are language programs where people can learn different kinds of languages.
On the other hand, some individuals think it is just a waste of time and people cannot learn from tv, to some extent they are correct because in TVs there are more entertainment programs rather than educational which is why they would be disrupted by watching these as they are children. Such as cartoons or unnecessary programs can have a negative impact on people’s cognitive development and of course they reject reading books, they get used to sedentary lifestyle, lose their patience or so on, so their parents should control them whether they are watching appropriate programs or not.
In conclusion, there are too many ways of educating children but some think that television is more beneficial when used wisely, because they learn being patient with watching educational programs on tv, however it can also be also a harmful distraction, therefore striking a balance through parental guidance is essential.
