Goverments must allocate more budget to roads infrastructure than the railways.I am parital agree with the statement as improvement in roads structures can minimise the length of journey, reduce road accidents rate but at the same time railways can be a convient for low income people.
Infrastructure development is a crucial part of the governance therefore, making new roads ,briddges, undergrounds is become a priority goal to uplift the quality and safety of the journey of their citizens.the advance road connections minimise the travel time ,as compare to past nowdays people can reach to their destination on time that results into to increase the life expectancy of sick once.In developed countries people can reach on hospitals on time therefore their life saving rates is higher than underdeveloped countries where the people die before reaching hospitals just because of improper road facilities.secondly reduction in roads accidents, wider, proper structure roads help the citizens to take precautions while during high speed driving like,in Pakistan the road accidents rates decline in urban areas in comparison with rural areas just due to the development.
On the other hand railways development must not be ignored by the government’s because it gives very budget friendly journey for the low income families, they can travel from one city to another with very limited money. In asian countries pakistan ,india people travel through railways ,sometime it took days to reach their destination but still they prefer it to save some amount. Futhermore ,it supports to maintain traffic on the roads ,if mean of transport for more people will be trains their will be less cars ,buses on the roads that results in less traffic jams.
In conclusion, there must be an equal investment on roads and railways so the residents of the country can get access to fast, safe and budget friendly travel
