The elements of the decade-long government healthcare reform debate can be divided into two main questions: Should the government pay for healthcare, or should the citizens take responsibility for their own health insurance?
There are those some individuals affirm that people should be charged for their health care, while others opine that government should offer health care for free. But I was of the opinion that the government provided healthcare is a better option since it offers fairness and Equality to all within the health sector.
Healthcare interpretation also shows that if the government pays for heath care, this cuts out inequality. All kinds of citizens can get medical assistance even if they have no money to pay for it. This is especially important with such groups as the low income families, elderly people and those who have underlying medical conditions such as diabetes or cancer. They can avoid big hospital bills because their state will cover all their expenses towards the doctors. Such a way can give everyone an equal opportunity to be healthy and none are left behind.
While private health insurance can also be available expensive, people without deep pockets cannot afford it. This results in a unliking scenario, whereby the poor may not access the desired care and this exacerbates the health disparity between the rich and the poor. That when the healthcare is based on the money instead of the need it is against the concept of equality rights.
All in all, I agree much with the idea that healthcare should be provided from the government to the citizens free of charge. It enables all the people regardless of their ability to pay the amounts required in order to access medical assistance. This is also the advantage to the whole economy as healthy people will produce good results. In sum, government supported healthcare can get a better condition of people’s entire population and equality.
