Many governments find it difficult to balance their healthcare budgets as costs increase. They should set aside a specific amount as their budget and prioritize its usage for their citizens’ health.
In comparison to government-funded healthcare, private health insurance is much more costly, as we would need to completely fund it ourselves. As citizens, we put our money and trust in the government to support our well-being. At the very least, they should be able to use our financial resources to aid us as citizens. Good country leaders should be able to manage their funding to subsidize our healthcare. I understand that there are many projects that are of importance, but as the core of the country, the health of citizens is vital.
With an increase in costs, those who are not as financially stable are likely unable to allocate their funds for healthcare; thus, only people of upper economic classes can afford to pay its monthly fees. So, if not for all, the government should at least provide for those of lower economic status, providing them with a more stable income source and will ultimately help the country grow. That way, both the government and citizens benefit, as, on average, the people would be more physically fit, leading to more productive working sessions and more money.
To close, I believe that the government should be responsible in using its funds because we, citizens, depend on it to be able to support us. We help the economy by paying taxes, so it should be able to cover our healthcare needs with those funds.
