Malnutrition and food scarcity has been a great concern around the globe during past years. The contributing factors in this regard include natural, economical, and social circumstances. However, it can be mitigated by putting afforts globally and locally.
The primary cause is the poor infrastructure and primitive agriculture methods which limit the crop yield. While some countries produce enough food globally, but poverty can’t meet the needs of the people relying on low income, due to political instability. Moreover, climate conditions like flood, drought, high temperature and extreme weathers exacerbate the concerning condition by affecting the agriculture output, particularly in developing countries that are mainly dependant on farming.
To address these concerns, government and organisational authorities must take steps and focus on the advanced infrastructure and modern ways of farming and planting that survive harsh conditions of drought and flood. Government should also make policies and allocate subsidies to low income employees at least on the basic needs such as food to reduce the risk of food shortage. Droght-resistent crops and advannced irrigation systems will help to maintain the food chain all around the world, decreasing the complications to a maximum extent. At last, international cooperation is needed to tackle the severe climate alterations through various initiatives that promote renewable energy and reduce carbon dioxide emission, hence providing less harm to the environment, which leads to an alarming phenomenon of global warming.
To put in a nutshell, by the improvement of irrigation systems, food distribution ways, and addressing poverty, this global issue can be eradicated ensuring food supply to all.
