Innovation fosters innovations. The craze of fast food is ever growing, with new genres of food being added to the menu. However, fast food cannot be a replacement for home food. I firmly agree that home food can never replace fast food and hotel food. There are various areas where home food overshadows hotel food and fast food, such as cost-effectiveness, hygiene, and adulteration.
Firstly, home food can be prepared at minimal cost, whereas fast food and hotel food are significantly more expensive. The charge of the food includes the profit of the restaurant, which contributes to the price hike. Moreover, having a meal in hotels includes additional expenses such as transportation and tips, which are considered mandatory in some hotels. Therefore, home food is an effective way to cut expenses.
Moreover, a pressing concern that widens the gulf between fast food and home food is the hygiene and adulteration issue. A majority of fast food vendors and hotels undermine hygiene while preparing food. This is not an issue with home food. Therefore, fast food poses a greater risk to individuals of having diseases like tuberculosis, cholera, and couldn’t suffice food requirements for a longer period.
Additionally, individuals are at a risk of adulterated foods at restaurants and hotels. Some greedy owners and vendors use cheap and unhealthy ingredients to increase their profit. This draws a contrast between home food and fast food in terms of health. Whereas home food is genuinely prepared from pure ingredients, hotel food and fast food are often adulterated. Therefore, fast food might cause increased health problems and is not suitable for the long run.
In conclusion, home food can never be replaced by hotel food and fast food. Home food is cheap compared to expensive hotel food, making it a suitable choice. However, people who are regular fast food eaters are more susceptible to diseases than those who eat home food. Thus, fast food defies the role of a food meal to keep people surviving.
